Cloudmont Ski Area (that's correct) is 1,000' long, 150' vertical with two pony lifts and plenty of snowmaking. At this point every serious skier kind of chuckles, but if you consider that we heartily recommend skiing these small "tows" that remain in New England, Cloudmont looks just fine.

  The SKInny: Yeah, it's easy. Where else you gonna go? Fact is you can rent a cute "chalet" slopeside a lot cheaper than you might expect. Management delivers a terrific on-slope snow product, thanks to night time cold. They know what they're doing here.
